The District Executive

District Chair
District ChairJohn Jeffs
My job is an independent financial adviser, in my spare time, when not involved with scouting, I like a game of golf and watching sport of all kinds.

I have been involved with scouting for over 10 years now and enjoy every minute.( Well nearly every minute)

District Treasurer
District TreasurerDavid Stafford
I was appointed District Treasurer in November 1998 on a temporary basis until a new Treasurer could be found! Here we are nearly twenty one years later and still going strong. Prior to this appointment I had no involvement in Scouting at all except being a “wolf cub” back in circa 1963. I am currently the Chairman of the Project Funding and Fund Raising Committee and am actively involved in the annual Book Sale, the District Quiz, and the Indian meal. As well as these two roles I am the interviewer co-ordinator for the Appointment Advisory Committee.

I enjoy my roles in Scouting and have, over the years, met some very nice people and for that I am grateful. My interests are golf, caravanning and taking time out for holidays. I also enjoy Motorsport and cricket.

District Secretary
District SecretaryLouise Godlington
I was one of the first female Venture Scouts (now known as Explorer’s) at the 5th Whitley Bay back in 1982, when we were given ‘a six month trial by the lads’ Since that time I have held various roles in Whitley Bay: Cub Scout Leader, Venture Scout Leader and Group Secretary.

I am currently a Group Treasurer, District Secretary & Quarry Centre Booking Secretary, Presently my ambitions in life are to say NO to any more scouting roles, and to find time for other interests such as cycling, gardening, music and to walk along the beach more than once a year!

Our District Executive is made up of a number of leaders and helpers from across the District
